Day 1: Arrival – Amboseli National Reserve

Guests Arrive at JKIA. Leave the airport for Nairobi and head on straight to the Amboseli Serena Lodge in Amboseli National Reserve. Amboseli National Reserve is one of the best wildlife-viewing experiences in the world with 400 species of birds including water birds, pelicans, kingfishers, crakes, hammerkops, and 47 types of raptors. The park protects two of the five main swamps, and includes a dried-up Pleistocene lake and semiarid vegetation. The park is famous for being the best place in the world to get close to free-ranging elephants. The park also has views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Amboseli was home to Echo, perhaps the most researched elephant in the world, and the subject of many books and documentaries, followed for almost four decades by American conservationist Dr Cynthia Moss. Echo died in 2009 when she was about 60 years old. It offers some of the best opportunities to see African wildlife because the vegetation is sparse due to the long, dry months. It is also home to many species, including African bush elephants, Cape buffaloes, impala, East African lions, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, Masai giraffes, Grant’s zebras, and blue wildebeest among other African animals. Arrive at the Lodge for check-in and Lunch. Afternoon Game drive. Overnight at the Lodge.
Day 2: Full Day at Amboseli National Park

06:30AM Breakfast 08:00AM Morning Game Drive. Back to hotel for Lunch. Late Afternoon Game Drive and Overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.

Day 3: ) Lake Nakuru National Park

06:30AM Breakfast 08:00AM Leave Amboseli for Lake Nakuru National Park. It is best known for its thousands, sometimes millions of flamingos nesting along the shores. The surface of the shallow lake is often hardly recognizable due to the continually shifting mass of pink. The number of flamingos on the lake varies with water and food conditions and the best vantage point is from Baboon Cliff. Also of interest is an area of 188 km (116 mi) around the lake fenced off as a sanctuary to protect giraffes as well as both black and white rhinos. The park has recently been enlarged partly to provide the sanctuary for the black rhinos. This undertaking has necessitated a fence – to keep out poachers rather than to restrict the movement of wildlife. Take lunch at the Trout Tree restaurant en-route. Arrive at the Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge. Afternoon Game Drive. DBB

Day 4: Lake Naivasha National Park

06:30AM Breakfast 08:00AM Morning drive in the Park en-route to Lake Naivasha. Lake Naivasha National Park It is a freshwater lake in Kenya, outside the town of Naivasha in Nakuru County, which lies north west of Nairobi. It is part of the Great Rift Valley. The name derives from the local Maasai name Nai’posha, meaning “rough water” because of the sudden storms which can arise. The lake is home to a variety of types of wildlife including over 400 different species of bird and a sizeable population of hippos. Between 1937 and 1950, the lake was used as a landing place for flying boats on the Imperial Airways passenger and mail route from Southampton in Britain to South Africa. Arrive for check-in and lunch at the Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge followed by a boat ride in the afternoon. Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge. DBB
Day 5: The Maasai Mara National Reserve

06:30AM Breakfast 08:00AM Depart Naivasha for Maasai Mara. The Maasai Mara National Reserve It is a large game reserve in Narok County, Kenya, borders with the expansive Serengeti National Park in Mara Region, Tanzania. It is named in honor of the Maasai people (the ancestral inhabitants of the area) and their description of the area when looked at from afar: “Mara,” which is Maa (Maasai language) stands for “spotted,” an apt description for the circles of trees, scrub, savanna, and cloud shadows that mark the area. It is globally famous for its exceptional population of lions, leopards and cheetahs, and the annual migration of zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, and wildebeest to and from the Serengeti every year from July to October, known as the Great Migration which is also the 7th World Wonder. Short Break along the way. Lunch at Sarova Mara Lodge Late afternoon game drive and back to the hotel.
